Governor of Tripura to arrive on visit

 

        The Governor of Tripura His Excellency Dr. D.Y. Patil is scheduled to arrive at Port Blair on May 10, 2012 on a two-day visit to the islands.

 

        During his stay here, the Governor of Tripura will be visiting places of historical importance and tourist interest in and around the town.

 

        On completion of visit, the Governor of Tripura will leave for mainland on May 12, 2012.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Power disruption

 

        Power supply will remain suspended in some of the areas on 12.05.2012 from 0800 hours to 1400 hours for shifting of transformer at Prothrapur.

 

        The areas to be affected by power suspension are part of Prothrapur and Pathergudda.

 

        Power supply will also remain suspended in more areas on 12.05.2012 from 0800 hours to 1700 hours for replacement of two old poles at Govindapuram and Stewartgunj with new ones & line clearance from IPP to Jirkatang. The work will be carried out subject to weather condition.

 

        The areas to be affected by power suspension are Bambooflat, Hopetown, Shorepoint, Stewartgunj, Kanyapuram, Wimberlygunj, Shoal Bay, Mathura, Brindavan, Ferrargunj to Jirkatang.
