Supply of equipment to Tribals on subsidy

 

        The Andaman & Nicobar Administration is implementing an incentive oriented scheme/programme namely “90% Subsidy for supply of Tools, Equipment, Machinery & Devices to Tribals of A & N Islands” through the Directorate of Industries during the 12^th Five Year Plan Period 2012-2017.

 

        Under this programme, the tools, equipment, machinery & devices will be supplied to individual tribal entrepreneurs, Self Help Group, Tuhet with all its members belonging to tribal population of A&N Islands at the approved price after obtaining 10% cost of equipments/tools from the beneficiary.

 

        The details of the scheme can be obtained from the Directorate of Industries, Port Blair as well as in the Branch offices at Diglipur, Bakultala, Little Andaman and Car Nicobar on any working day between 09.00 AM & 05.00 PM.

Audited accounts

 

        All registered Co-operative Societies enrolled in the Zilla Parishad, North & Middle Andaman are informed that Audited Accounts for the Previous Financial Year i.e. 2013-14 are required to be furnished to the CEO, Zilla Parishad, North & Middle Andaman before award of any work. In case, the audit in not carried out for the Previous Year, no work shall be awarded to the erring Co-operative Society. It is, therefore, advised that Audited Accounts for the Previous Year i.e. 2013-14 may be furnished to the CEO, Zilla Parishad, North & Middle Andaman latest by 22^nd September, 2014.

 

 

 

 

 

Power suspension

 

        It is brought to the notice of the general consumers and government departments that power supply will remain suspended in many areas on 13.09.2014 from 0800 hours to 1230 hours for carrying out urgent maintenance and line clearance works.

 

        The areas to be affected by power disruption are Prothrapur, Bird Line, Kamaraj Nagar, Beodnabad, Burma Nallah, Chidiyatapu, Calicut, Macca Pahar, New Bimlitan, Austinabad, part of Chakkergaon, Jail Complex, Brichgunj & Brookshabad, New Pahargaon, Pathergudda, CIARI, Bhatu Basti & part of Garacharma.
