Veterans & Families Day on June 17

 

        Veterans & Families Day for all ranks ex-servicemen and their families will be organized by Army Component of HQ ANC at Brichgunj Military Station on June 17, 2012 at 0930 hours.

 

        With a view to facilitating the veterans and their families in participating in the event, transport shall be available at Aberdeen Bazar Bus Stand, Junglighat and Bhatu Basti at 0900 hours, a communication from the Secretary, Rajya Sainik Board said.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Vector borne disease control

 

        First round of indoor residual DDT spray will be carried out in the islands from 18.06.2012 under the National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme.

 

        In this regard, the Director of Health Services has appealed to the members of public to extend their cooperation in the efforts.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Power disruption

 

        Power supply will remain disrupted on two days for charging of 11 KV underground cables at Delanipur and Phoenix Bay areas and connecting bulk supply to airport by M/s. PGCIL.

 

        Light House, Phoenix Bay, Fisheries Jetty, Anarkali, Delanipur, Quarry Hill and Phongy Kyaung are the areas which will be affected on 16.06.2012 from 0900 hours to 1500 hours.

 

        Similarly, on 18.06.2012, Dairy Farm junction, Lamba Line, CPWD complex, Ranchi Tekry, School Line complete & Minnie Bay are the areas, which will experience power interruption from 0900 hours to 1500 hours.

 

        Power supply will also remain suspended in some more areas on 16.06.2012 from 0900 hours to 1600 hours for execution of 33 KV UG cable from IPP to Nayapuram by M/s. PGCIL subject to weather condition. The areas to be affected by power disruption are Bambooflat, Wimberlygunj, Shoal Bay, Mathura, Brindaban junction including Saitankhari and Rubber Board plantation.
