Heavy Rainfall Warning

 

Port Blair, May 23, 2013: Heavy rain (7-12 cm) likely to occur at isolated places over Andaman & Nicobar Island during next 24 hours. Fisheries museum to remain closed on Mondays

       

        It is brought to the notice of the general public that the Fisheries Museum-cum-Aquarium, near Rajiv Gandhi Water Sports Complex, Aberdeen shall remain closed on every Monday for the visitors/tourists with immediate effect for maintenance of Aquarium.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jolly Buoy to remain closed for tourists

 

        It is for the information of general public/tour operators, tourists and others that the Jolly Buoy Island in Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park (MGMNP), Wandoor shall remain closed for the tourism activities w.e.f 16/05/13 to 31/10/13 consequent upon end of fair weather season as intimated vide Ministry of Shipping, M.M.D letter No.PB/2(216)/2008-III/564 dated 15/10/2009. However, the Red Skin Island in MGMNP shall remain open for the tourism activities during the above said period subject to weather conditions and other guidelines issued from time to time.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Power interruption

 

        It is to inform all concerned that there shall be interruption of power supply from Rangat Bay to Mayabunder in Nimbudera & Mayabunder feeder on 25^th May, 2013 from 0700 hours to 1300 hours for carrying out urgent line maintenance work. The work shall not be done in case of inclement weather.
