e-Governance services by Labour dept.

 

        In an attempt to simplify Governance and improve the delivery of services to citizens of these islands, A&N Administration has launched one of the core projects under National e-Governance Plan viz. State Portal & State Services Delivery Gateway (SP&SSDG).

 

        The A&N Administration has soft launched electronic forms of the Labour department as part of the project to fulfill the vision of providing easy and convenient services to the citizens through remote access through State Portal and Common Service Centres (CSCs). The services will be made available to the general public at all CSCs of South Andaman and North & Middle Andaman from 26th January, 2015.

 

        The details of the services are as under:

 

1. Application for registration of construction worker as a beneficiary

    (Provision of eCertificate)

 

2. Application for Maternity benefit

 

3. Application for Educational Assistance

 

4. Application for Marriage Assistance

 

5. Application for Pension benefit

 

6. Application for Death benefit

 

7. Application for Funeral Assistance

 

8. Application for Medical Assistance

 

9. Application for Registration of shops & establishment

 

        The citizens’s feedback received after the soft launch shall be analysed and incorporated for the full rollout. After the rollout of eforms, citizens would be able to access, submit online and obtain status of different Government to Citizen Services over State Portal of A&N Administration (www.andaman.gov.in). The non-internet users may approach nearest e-Dweep Kendras (CSCs) to avail these services. The submitted electronic form will be routed through State Service Delivery Gateway (SSDG) to the respective field offices of the concerned department in the Administration responsible for providing that particular service.

 

        The project is being implemented by SOVTECH, State Nodal Agency for implementation of e-Governance projects with inputs by Labour department. The SP&SSDG project has been developed and is being maintained by M/s. Tata Consultancy Services. Department of IT, A&N Administration monitors the overall project.
