Utsav Weekend Mela

 

        The Department of Tourism is organizing Utsav Weekend Mela again on 2^nd November 2014 at Marina Park, from 4 pm to 10 pm.  The “Utsav-Weekend Mela”, held on 17/10/2014 at Marina Park, had a profound effect on all visitors. The objective for setting up such type of exhibitions (Flea Market) is also to encourage the participation of the local artists and talents and provide them a platform of visibility in front of the entire Islands, apart from its prime motto of promoting the local culture, cuisine, art and handicrafts etc. Adding to the flavor, the Department of Tourism is also encouraging applications from Sports person like roller skaters, mini golf, during the event at Marina Park. Also, the Weekend Mela will have separate corners for more fun games, information corner, kids corner, flea market, food corner and live music etc.

 

        This press release also comes as an open invitation for all the talents and artist to put their talents to display and make the best out of this opportunity. If you have a performer within you, and if you can keep the crowd attracted, “Flea Market” is the place you should be on 02/11/2014 between 4 pm to 10 pm. Power suspension

 

         It is brought to the notice of the general consumers and government departments that power supply will remain suspended in some of the areas on 30.10.2014 from 0730 hours to 1400 hours for replacement of damaged pole, realignment of HT lines and drawing of overhead HT line at Bird Line and Beodnabad.

        The areas to be affected by power disruption are Bird Line, Calicut, Pema Junction, Macca Pahar & New Bimblitan.

 

        Power supply will also remain suspended in some more areas on 01.11.2014 from 0730 hours to 1400 hours for replacement of damaged pole, realignment of HT lines and drawing of overhead HT line at Bird Line and Beodnabad.

 

        The areas to be affected will be Kamaraj Nagar, Beodnabad, Burma Nallah, Rangachang, Kodiyaghat & Chidiyatapu.
