VISION STATEMENT
This
department is being implemented various schemes for which sufficient
infrastructure facility is not available. The following Infra
structure supports are required by the department through Plan.
1.
District Social Welfare Offices for each district.
2.
Home for Orphan Girls.
3.
Day Care & Recreation Centers for disabled.
4.
Swadhar Homes.
5.
Model Anganwadi Centers.
PENSION
TO WIDOWS
1.
During the
year 2009-10 a total no of 4500 widows were targeted for financial
assistance @ Rs. 500/-PM. This department has to prepare a scheme
for the Re- Marriage of those widows who are interested and below 40
years .A financial assistance of Rs 50,000 is also proposed to be
given to them as one time benefit.
2.
Financial Assistance
has to be provided to those unemployed, unmarried girls who have no
source of income for their livelihood. An assistance of Rs.
1000/-Per Month is proposed.
3.
It is proposed to create more
post of Group C Staff under Directorate as there is acute scarcity
of sufficient staff to deal with matters like Old Age Pension, Widow
Pension and Assistance to disabled. The number of beneficiaries have
increased 10 times in the last Five years. But, there is no
subsequent increase in staff strength in this department to deal
with the
matters.
Construction
of Child Friendly Anganwadis can attract the parents & Children
of entire income groups, so it is proposed to construct such
Anganwadis in entire area keeping hygienic surroundings,
playgrounds, playing materials, libraries
etc.
Financial
Assistance can be provided for the backward classes specially in the
rural areas during the time of exigencies like Fire, Flood and
Cyclone etc...
